Marcus Diaz is the director of training and development of Sol Casinos in Tucson, Arizona. Diaz has traveled the world training and teaching cross cultural programs and diversity topics in locations such as Canada, Venezuela, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. He has an extensive background in the field of human resources, training and development, and performance management and his accomplishments have been recognized throughout North America, South America and Europe.

Experience counts in the casino business, but formal higher education has begun to play an increasingly important role in preparing the gaming leaders of tomorrow. Experts will discuss which colleges and universities are introducing gaming-related courses and programs and how to recruit new talent from these institutions. They also will discuss the value of other degrees and majors in helping leaders broaden their perspective, as well as the growing number of continuing education programs available to current professionals who need to adapt to the changing times.
