Jonathan S. Halkyard is senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. In that role, he oversees the company's treasury, financial reporting, cash-management, internal audit, risk management and investor relations functions, as well as the finance and strategic database analysis departments. Halkyard began his career with Chase Manhattan Bank as a corporate finance associate and proceeded to hold several leadership positions in corporate development. From 1995 to 1999, he held several leadership positions in corporate development with Landmark Communications. He is on the board of directors of the United Way of Southern Nevada, the American Red Cross and the Nevada Ballet Theatre. Halkyard holds a bachelor's degree from Colgate University and an master's degree in business administration from Harvard University.
