Speaker Bio

Bill Young is vice president of security and surveillance at Station Casinos, Inc. Young began his career with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. During the span of his 28-year career, he rose thru the ranks while working in numerous departments, including patrol, communications, narcotics and finally, as deputy chief of special operations. In November of 2002, Young was elected sheriff of Clark County, heading the tenth largest police agency in America. In January of 2007, Young retired and began his second career with Station Casinos. Young holds both a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is also a graduate of the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the FBI National Executive Institute.
