Speaker Bio

Tony Gladney is president of national diversity relations at Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. He is also the chief liasion officer for the company's strategic partner relations locally, regionally and nationally. Prior to joining Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. Gladney served in related roles at Caesars Entertainment, MGM Mirage and MGM Grand Hotel. He also served as the director of multicultural student affairs for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Active in the community, Gladney is a corporate member of the Latin and Asian Chambers of Commerce as well as a member of 100 Black Men of Las Vegas. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Many casino companies and gaming tribes invest great effort into being good community citizens. This session will emphasize the necessity of casinos working together, whether tribal or commercial, the importance of a jurisdictional gaming association, the benefit of membership on state and local councils and strategies for getting employees involved in order to foster positive community feedback.
