Speaker Bio
Marnie Hodahkwen is policy advisor for tribal affairs in the office of Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano. In this role, she serves as the governor's liaison with Arizona's twenty-two tribal governments. Her work involves addressing issues in a variety of policy areas, including health care, education, law inforcement, energy, economic development, transportation and the environment. Hodahkwen is an attorney and previously practiced in the areas of commercial litigation and Indian law with the firm Quarles & Brady Streich Lang, LLP. Hodahkwen earned her bachelor's and law degrees from Arizona State University.

Many casino companies and gaming tribes invest great effort into being good community citizens. This session will emphasize the necessity of casinos working together, whether tribal or commercial, the importance of a jurisdictional gaming association, the benefit of membership on state and local councils and strategies for getting employees involved in order to foster positive community feedback.
