Speaker Bio

Marsha Kelly is the president of Kelly Strategic Counsel, Inc., a consulting firm that provides public relations, strategic communications, issue management and business development counsel for clients in Indian and commercial gaming, health care, energy and other fields. Kelly worked in government and academia before establishing her own consulting firm in 1981. In 1988, she served as press secretary for Minnesota Lt. Governor Marlene Johnson during the administration of Governor Rudy Perpich, who signed the nation's first gaming compacts with its state's tribes. Kelly graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Minnesota chapter of PRSA.
